43 分钟I'd like to share another way that Stanford research matters.
Eric Apple works to make medications more effective.
By encapsulating drugs in a hydrogel, Eric and his team improved the delivery of injectable drugs.
Instead of weekly injections, the same drug could be injected just a few times a year.
Not only does this make taking medications easier, but in some cases, the drugs work better.
Eric's lab also found that the same hydrogel could be used to deliver fire retardants to slow wildfires.
Eric's work will potentially save lives and the environment.
Discoveries like this happen every day at Stanford.
