16 分钟Welcome back to the Smart English Coach podcast.
This is the fourth episode in the special series dedicated to the Professional English Summit in April.
In this episode, I'm talking to one of the speakers in the summit, Lucy Tilney.
Lucy helped to make wildlife documentaries for the BBC Natural History Unit for 10 years.
She retrained to teach English as a foreign language,
acquiring her CELTA certificate, and she taught in Spain.
Lucy now runs the Bristol Homestay Tuition,
offering intensive one-to-one personalised courses in Bristol.
Welcome back, Lucy.
Thank you, and it's nice to be back.
Well, I'm really excited to have you on the podcast, Lucy,
because your talk at the Professional English Summit is called It all sounds like one long sentence,
understanding English speakers.
Now,
I think this is a great title and it reminds me of when I was learning Italian
because it all did sound like one long sentence.
So, let me ask you,
what do your students tell you about understanding English people when they speak?
Actually, the title is help.
It all sounds like one long sentence because they get very panicked.
