Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called on China and Indonesia to push bilateral ties to a higher level.
The senior Chinese diplomat made a remark in a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Sugiyano here in Beijing.
Wang Yi called for jointly developing emerging industries like green energy and the digital economy,
saying that both sides should uphold the spirit of free trade and promote two-way investment.
And for his part, Sugiano said Indonesia is deeply committed to deepening ties with China,
adding China represents Indonesia's largest trading partner.
China and Indonesia held the first meeting of a joint foreign and defense ministerial dialogue on Monday.
The two sides agreed to strengthen maritime cooperation to promote regional safety and security.
