That was the sound of a service being held in St Peter's Square in the Vatican in Rome to mark the death of Pope Francis.
News we got on Monday morning from the Vatican who said that he died at 7.35 local time.
And so that's what we'll talk about on this episode of Newscast.
While that service was underway, we got two pieces of news from the Vatican.
They confirmed that the Pope died of a stroke.
and heart failure.
We also got the Pope's final testament,
which is the message he wanted to be released after his death,
mainly where he talks about where he wants his remains to be placed.
And that's not in the Vatican, but in the papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major,
which is a chapel outside the Vatican and where seven other popes have been laid to rest.
So the death of Pope Francis,
the leader of more than a billion Catholics around the world is what we will focus on in this episode of Newscast.
