We're living in interesting times, a turning point in history.
Are we entering a dark authoritarian era, or are we on the brink of a technological golden age or the apocalypse?
No one really knows, but I'm trying to find out.
From New York Times' opinion, I'm Ross Douthat and on my show, Interesting Times,
I'm exploring this strange new world order with the thinkers and leaders giving it shape.

OK, see, I'm having a little mystery this week.
We love a mystery on the show.
Because I was traveling last week and I was at the Newark, New Jersey airport.
And I realized as I was leaving the airport that I had left my Apple Watch at the airport.
So at some point, you just looked down at your wrist and the Apple Watch is gone.
Yes.
OK.
And then, of course, I went to the Find My app.
To try to locate my Apple Watch.
Yep.
And it had moved.
So in the span of about an hour, I went from the Newark airport to a vape shop in Kierney, New Jersey.
That's not good.
That means it probably was not accidental that this thing just disappeared off your wrist.
