Hello.
Now, if you go down to Parliament and you cross Parliament Square in Westminster, you get to the UK Supreme Court.
And occasionally that building issues what journalistic cliché would call a landmark judgment.
Well, that happened today on Wednesday in a case brought against the Scottish government by some campaigners.
And the reason it's a landmark ruling is
that the justices in the Supreme Court have clarified what the UK's Equalities Legislation means when it talks about sex,
when it talks about men and women.
And the judges in the Supreme Court have said that that act means biological sex.
And that has implications for the discussion around the rights of women and trans women.
And so we will discuss just why this is so important.
And actually what the judges said, and we'll have a bit of theory about what it might mean on this episode of Newscast.
