Hello and welcome to news from the BBC World Service coming to you live from our studios in central London.
I'm Julian Marshall.
And we go now to Sudan.
Well,
multiple civilians have once again been victims in the brutal two-year civil war that has seen countless atrocities and accusations of genocide.
The Sudanese army may regain control of the capital, but their rivals,
the paramilitary rapid support forces, are still rampant elsewhere in the country, including the Darfur region.
And the RSF has just launched an assault on the city of Al-Fashir in north Darfur,
killing at least 100 people in Zamzam refugee camp just south of the city.
Ikhlas is an activist from Al-Shafir, Al-Fashir.
Although she's not there at the moment, she sent us this voice note.
I have been speaking with people inside Zamzam camp and they tell me the situation is horrific.
The confirmed number of deaths is at least 120.
And just yesterday, 32 women and girls were killed, but people on the ground say the actual number is much higher.
One woman told me there is no way out.
The RSF are surrounding the camp from all directions.
Another woman said, the dead are laying on the ground.
Wherever you go, you see bodies.
There is no medicine, no food, no protection.
A young man told me that the RSF executed 15 people inside the shelter.
