Hello, it's James.
Adam is off this week.
Thank you very much for joining us on Newscast, and guess what?
We're going to be talking about Donald Trump,
and we're going to be talking about tariffs, because events have been moving unbelievably quickly,
the markets have been plummeting all over the world,
and I'd love to know what questions you have about this, that we can try here at Newscast to answer.
So please get in touch with us, particularly if your business has impacted,
not only that, but particularly if you have a business that you're worried about,
please let us know, tell us what's happening, and we're going to be talking about that,
and a lot more about these tariffs on this episode of Newscast.
Hello, it's James in the studio, and goodness me,
there is a lot happening, stock markets falling all over the world because of those Trump tariffs.
The UK Prime Minister making a speech here, promising to defend British industry,
and then what might turn out to be the biggest development on Monday,
more threats from President Trump aimed squarely at Beijing, promising to have even tougher tariffs on them,
perhaps another sign that this trade war between the US and China is deepening.
A lot to discuss, and with me, Chris Mason, and Simon Jack, BBC Business Editor.
Hi, Simon.
Hello.
