Hello, it's 1,133 days since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Is President Trump really changing his mind on Vladimir Putin?
Have a listen to this from Kristin Welker on the U.S. Network, NBC News on Sunday.
Just hours ago, President Trump called me to tell me he is, quote,
pissed off with Russia's president Putin and threatened to impose secondary tariffs on Russia's oil,
quote, if Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine,
and if I think it was Russia's fault, which it might not be,
but if I think it was Russia's fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on all oil coming out of Russia.
Mr. Trump said 25 percent tariffs on Russia's oil... Well, what do we make of this, Vitaly?
Well,
these are the harshest comments yet made by Donald Trump about Vladimir Putin during his second coming to the White House,
and things being not as smooth as they seemed between the two of them.
And how has it gone down in Russia?
Well, what they did in relation to these specific comments is what they normally do about awkward subjects,
because on the one hand,
they've got the Kremlin telling the media and the public in Russia that Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump,
they understand each other, they trust each other, and then Donald Trump says he's very angry at Vladimir Putin.
So editors on Russian TV, they can't really make that decision their own.
Is Trump our friend?
Is Trump our foe?
