Hello and welcome to the English
Lichenative Podcast.
My name is Anna and you're listening to Week 59 Day 4 of
Your English Fiver Day.
This is the series that gives you a healthy daily dose of
English vocabulary so that you can feel more confident
and more like yourself when communicating in English.
Now this is the penultimate.
That means the one before the last.
This is the penultimate episode for 2024.
We are closing in on Christmas and I think it's about time I had a little rest.
So I'm looking forward to recharging my batteries
and coming back full of energy with a new series in the new year.
So sit back and enjoy this penultimate episode.
We begin with the noun fairy lights, fairy lights.
Two words we spell fairy F-A-I-R-Y fairy and lights of course
that very bizarre spelling L-I-G-H-T-S fairy lights.
Now fairy lights are those small white or colored electric lights that are used
for decoration especially on a tree at Christmas.
Now I have a love-hate relationship with fairy lights.
