This is the series that's dedicated to increasing your active vocabulary so
that you can feel more like yourself when communicating in English.
Now today's episode contains quite a lot of verbs and before we dive into those verbs I'm going to give you a little snapshot of what to expect.
This is all of today's target vocabulary wrapped up in a couple of sentences so here we go.
As it began to drizzle lightly outside she decided to rustle up a quick breakfast using the last few ingredients in the fridge.
She drizzled honey over the warm pancakes,
sprinkled some cinnamon on top and felt that the meal truly completed the cozy morning.
That snapshot has made me feel a little hungry.
I haven't had dive into today's vocabulary.
We begin with the phrase of verb rustle something up.
So rustle up is the phrase of verb and we can separate it so you can rustle something up.
To rustle something up we spell it R-U-S-T-L-E rustle.
Notice how the T is silent, rustle and then up U-P.
To rustle something up is to produce something very quickly.
We often use this when referring to preparing food or snacks or drinks.
I'll rustle something up.
I'll make something very quickly.
