Let's start with a snapshot of all the vocabulary we're covering today.

The gentle hum of conversation filled the small corner shop as locals stopped by for their daily essentials.
While some kids messed around near the magazine rack,
the new bright display in the window stood out from the rest of the shop proving the owner could hold her own against the largest supermarkets nearby.

We start with the noun, hum, a hum of something.
In our snapshot we said a hum of conversation, hum we spell h-u-m.
Hum, this means a low, continuous sound, a hum.
