My name is Anna and you're listening to week five, day three of your English five a day,
the second season.
This is the series that helps you to expand your vocabulary and build your
confidence so that you can feel more like yourself when communicating in English.
So let's begin as we always do with a snapshot of what's to come so listen closely.
The air was thick with smog as Jane rushed to get ready for her important
presentation.
Just slap on some sun cream and go she told herself, knowing she was already late.
When she arrived at the office her boss's expression was unmistakably angry.
Jane started to lose her grip on her emotions and felt tears forming in her eyes.
But being quick-witted she took a deep breath and focused on the key points of her presentation.
Okay that wasn't too bad was it but maybe there were a few items in there that you didn't
quite catch or understand so let's dive deep by looking at five items of vocabulary today.
