Five times 15.
Hello and welcome to everybody joining us this evening.
I can see you are all coming into our virtual room where you are extremely welcome.
My name is Alex Clark and it's my pleasure to host this event between 5 by 15 and the writers Prize.
We have several of the shortlisted writers here this evening.
In fact, seven of them, which I think hitherto that might be a record.
We may not have had quite so many who have taken up our invitation to come and join us this evening.
So I'm not going to talk for a long time,
other than to say that this year the Writer's Prize,
as you will know, is spread across three categories.
Fiction, Non fiction and poetry.
We have representatives of each of the categories here.
What I'm going to do is ask them to join me one by one,
just to tell me a little bit about their books and then to give you a short reading and we'll have some general conversation.
I hope I'll get them talking to one another and then we'd like you to join in.
We'd like you to submit your questions whenever you feel
like it from now right until the end of the event via the Q and A button.
You'll also see in the chat there are various instructions about giving your feedback and supporting titles via the Writer's Prize bookshop,
which we'd of course also love you to do.
But my seven writers are Naomi Klein, Paul Murray, Jason Allen Pizzle,
