From Recorded Future News and prx, this is Click Here.
Hey there, it's Dena.
Last week, I was a guest on 1A. It's a daily news magazine from NPR and WAMU,
and we talked about TikTok, not just the latest on the sale,
but why it is so many national security officials think this little video app is such a threat,
we thought we'd give you a chance to hear it.
In case you missed it, the first voice you'll hear is Jen White, the host of 1A. Take a listen.
Now, you may have noticed that TikTok returned to the App Store.
This comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order extending the deadline
for a sale to April.
But the clock is ticking.
The platform must sell its US Assets or face a ban stateside.
President Trump has reportedly asked Vice President J.D.
vance to find a buyer, though it isn't clear who would buy it or Whether China or ByteDance,
TikTok's mainland Chinese parent company, would even allow a sale to go through.
What does the Future hold for TikTok?
And why are American security officials so worried
about the Chinese Communist Party using TikTok to control conversations around the world?
