6 分钟Hi, welcome to Radio Headspace.
It's Dora, and welcome to Wednesday.
Being a mindfulness teacher in a corporate setting is an interesting dance.
Should I be climbing the corporate ladder?
Where does it lead to for someone like me?
What does it truly mean?
And what happens when I do arrive wherever it is I'm heading?
Now what?
We, us as humans,
have somehow decided to believe that climbing the ladder will bring us a sense of fulfillment,
happiness, or contentment.
Yet, the arrival fallacy is one to be aware of.
This idea that only when we arrive at a certain place will we feel happy or fulfilled.
The arrival fallacy,
the belief that climbing the corporate ladder will bring fulfillment and happiness,
can often leave us feeling unfulfilled once we arrive.
What I'm learning is true success lies in redefining our measurements of achievement,
focusing not only on titles or milestones,
but on the impact we make in everyday interactions and the meaning we create in our daily lives.
I had a friend who spent years climbing the corporate ladder.
