Hello.
Slightly odd episode, this one, in that the news is still unfolding as we were recording it.
So loads of European leaders, including Keir Starmer,
dashed to Paris on Monday afternoon for a last minute summit hosted by Emmanuel Macron
in response to what the Americans have been saying over the last week
or so about their plan
or their idea of a plan for what happens to Ukraine following the Russian invasion.
And over the weekend,
Keir Starmer put out some words in an article in the Telegraph saying
that he would be quite prepared to provide British troops
for some kind of peacekeeping mission in Ukraine,
if that is what negotiations end up with.
So we've got quite a lot of movement domestically,
quite a lot of movement internationally, and at the same time there's a U.S.
delegation and a Russian delegation heading
to Saudi Arabia to have some kind of discussions this week,
although we don't know exactly how detailed they're going to be
and how much of them are going to be about Ukraine
or just how much of them are going to be about US Russia relations.
