Foreign.
We learned this week that it might be smart to enjoy Greenland's national anthem while we still can.
And indeed, Greenland's name.
Greenland.
Love it.
Green Greenland, baby.
Greenland Land Lovett.
Seriously, don't get carried away.
For we Learned that one U.S.
congressman, enthused by President Donald Trump's designs on Greenland,
even if we, for one humorous news monologue,
would not bet heavily on said congressman's ability to point to Greenland on a map,
or indeed to his own left ear without detailed directions,
had some thoughts about updating its nomenclature.
Once the Stars and Stripes is hoisted over Nook, which,
if said Congressman is listening, is Greenland's capital, we learned that Congressman Buddy Carter,
representing the clearly discerning voters of Georgia's 1st district,
had introduced to Congress a bill proposing renaming Greenland to Red, White and Blue Land.
We cannot overemphasize that we are not making this up.
Still less can we overemphasize that we wish we were.
