and markets to the human stories that touch our lives,
we bring you in depth insights from across the BBC and beyond.

BBC Sounds Music Radio Podcasts hello.
Now, if you were listening to the last episode of Newscast, you will have heard me talking to Sumi in Washington D.C.
and with a big dramatic flourish I said check your Google Maps to see what the Gulf of Mexico is called
and whether Google have introduced Donald Trump's new policy of calling it the Gulf of America.
And at the point of recording it was still the Gulf of Mexico, just the Gulf of Mexico on Google Maps.
But then once the episode had dropped, we got an an update from newscaster Jean Claude,
who lives in Montreal in Canada, who sent us a screen grab of his Google Maps which showed it had both names.
So it was updated pretty sharpishly after we'd finished recording,
which got my inner geographer thinking, what other areas have got brackets on them on Google Maps?
And so we found a few.
There's the Persian Gulf, which is also known as the Arabian Gulf.
And back in 2012 there was actually legal action aimed Google's way from Iran
because they were annoyed that it wasn't labeled as the Persian Gulf.
