Hello.
So earlier on today, we were all crowded around the TV in the newscast office because we were watching the judge at Liverpool Crown Court sentence Axel Radicabana for the murders in Southport of three little girls at the dance class last summer.
And I don't know if you saw it or heard it or have read what he said, but it instantly took me back to that day when we first started hearing about what happened.
But I don't think I'd ever quite pictured what the scene must have been like inside, actually, until today, because the judge, Justice Goose, set it out in just quite harrowing detail.
And so this episode is going to talk about some of those details and here's how the judge did it.
When I was watching TV a couple.
Of hours ago, and over about 15 minutes, he savagely killed three of them and attempted to kill eight more, as well as two adults who tried to stop him.
It was of such extreme violence, of the utmost and exceptionally high seriousness that it is difficult to comprehend why it was done.
I'm sure that Rudder Cabana had a settled and determined intention to carry out these offences and that had he been able to, he would have killed each and every child, all 26 of them, as well as any adults who got in his way.
So we'll be hearing from some of my colleagues who are in Liverpool reporting on that story today on this episode of Newscast, the BBC's daily news podcast.
