单集简介 ...

"When you accept yourself the way you are, the world recognizes you." - Muniba Mazari From adopting her son Niall to becoming Pakistan's first wheelchair-bound TV host and model, Muniba Mazari's journey is a testament to the power of reframing life's challenges. When her four-year-old son asked her to kick a soccer ball, a moment that could have been devastating became a profound lesson in focusing on possibilities rather than limitations. Through her son's simple wisdom of suggesting catch ball instead, Muniba learned to see her glass as half full, embracing what she could do rather than dwelling on what she couldn't. As Pakistan's first Goodwill Ambassador to UN Women and a globally exhibited artist, Muniba has transformed her personal journey into a platform for change. Her story extends beyond professional achievements to deep insights about overcoming the fear of abandonment and finding self-acceptance. Featured in BBC's Top 100 Women and Forbes 30 under 30, she's dedicated herself to changing narratives in mainstream media, showing that being "perfectly imperfect" is perfectly alright. Her path as a wheelchair-bound pioneer in television and modeling has created a roadmap for future generations, turning personal challenges into stepping stones for others to follow.

  • Hi, my name is Lewis Howes and welcome to the Daily Motivation Show.

  • I adopted this beautiful little human being when he was a few days old.

  • He's my son, his name is Nile.

  • And when I held him in my arms for the first time, I felt so complete.

  • I always say that Nile is the fruit of all the pain that I've been through.

  • I love him not because he's my son,

  • I love him because he's such a kind and considerate human being, and he's an excellent teacher.

  • I remember when he was four years old, he's obsessed with soccer.

  • He wants to become a soccer player when he grows up till date.

  • So we got him his very first football when he was four years old.

  • Poor child got so excited that he forgot that his mother is paralyzed.

  • He held the ball and he kept that in my feet and he said, Mom, kick the ball.

  • And I looked at him and I had tears in my eyes and I said Nile,

  • remember, mom's legs don't work, I can't kick the ball.

  • I felt so helpless and hopeless as a mother that this was a little thing

  • that my son wanted me to do and I couldn't do it.

  • Bless his kind heart, he came to me and he said, Mom, don't be sad, it's okay, sorry I forgot.

  • But listen, your hands are working, we can play catch ball.

  • And with that football, we play catch ball.

  • And you know what, he taught me, in that moment,
