After the first few tests, her doctor sent her for a colposcopy, an examination of the cervix.
Oh, I went for the colposcopy on my own because I just thought nothing of it really.
Just like a standard checkup.
And then when I got the letter back asking me to come back and maybe bring someone with me, I thought, oh, that sounds a bit serious.
I took my mum with me.
I think she kind of knew something was more sinister and that is how.
