  • Today we are talking about how to fall asleep with OCD and anxiety.

  • We have the amazing Sue Chuddy here because she is going to spread her wisdom.

  • I am so thrilled to have you because this is such an important topic.

  • Yes, I'm so glad to be here.

  • Thank you so much for having me.

  • It's often in sessions,

  • some of the biggest conversations I have with clients because we need sleep to function well.

  • And sometimes anxiety can prevent us from that one thing.

  • So can you write off the bat,

  • explain the relationship between OCD and specific and some sleep disturbances that people have?

  • Absolutely.

  • Yeah, depending on what source you're looking at,

  • it's probably somewhere between 40% to 70% of people with OCD are experiencing some kind of sleep disturbance.

  • So this is huge.

  • And there's a lot of reasons why that's happening.

  • People go to sleep, and OCD, they try to go to sleep, they're bad, and OCD is like, yes.

  • This is the perfect time to process everything.
