  • He's credited with liberalising India's economy during a 1991 currency so setting the nation on a path of global influence.

  • To find out more about how he did that, I've been speaking to our India business correspondent, Archana Shukla.

  • Manmohan Singh was an economist turned politician.

  • He was the 14th Prime Minister of India and after Jawaharlander, who was the only second Prime Minister to serve two full terms between 2004 and 2014.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi would become the third eventually.

  • But during his time he was one of the only politicians to have won to full terms.
