  • We have haven't we talked a lot about ghost ships over the last few years?

  • And we're going to start by focusing on that issue once again because a Russian cargo ship has sunk in the western Mediterranean after an explosion in its engine room.

  • Two crew members are still missing.

  • The owner of the Ursa Major said the ship was on its way to Vladivostok to deliver dock cranes.

  • But there has been speculation the ship, which is under US Sanctions, may actually have been heading to Syria to collect Russian military supplies.

  • We're going to try and get some answers to what it was actually doing with David Tannenbaum, who is a partner in maritime and sanctions intelligence for Polestar Global, a maritime intelligence and technology company.

  • David, thanks so much for joining us on World Business report.
