  • But this year we focused a lot on this program on the car industry.

  • It's told us a lot about the move towards electrification and also about tensions between the US And China.

  • And we're going to stay on the automobile theme and talk about two of Japan's biggest car companies, Honda and Nissan, because they're discussing a possible merger that would create the third biggest automaker in the world.

  • Last month, Nissan reported a 93% drop in its first half net profits and announced thousands of job cuts.

  • So it's a company not doing well.

  • However, Honda CEO Toshiro Amoeba emphasized that this would be a partnership with a bailout of Nissan.
