In China, shared services such as bikes, power banks, and even umbrellas have become commonplace, allowing underused resources to be accessed for a fee.
And this model has proven to be a viable business concept.
Now it's being extended to hospitals.
With a shortage of beds for inpatients, many hospitals are experimenting with a share bed system where available beds in any department can be used by patients in urgent need, regardless of their specialty.
For instance, a patient from orthopedics might be placed in an oncology ward bed if it's free.
Optimizing hospital resources.
So Yushun, can you paint a picture for us of how shared hospital beds are currently being intimate implemented in China?
