So over a year ago, one of our producers, Susan Burton, found this story that she wanted to do.
And it was something that a bunch of us were very excited to hear her try.
This thing that had been in the news briefly, but it seemed like there was so much more to say and figure out.
And then she started interviewing people and it became clear to her very quickly that this could be so much more than just a one hour story that we would put here on our show.
And so she headed off to make it as its very own podcast, its own show, with her co workers at Serial Productions in the New York Times.
And the show is now finished.
It just launched this week.
I'm thrilled that we can present the first episode of their show here on our show.
And that is what we're gonna do today.
