A quick warning.
There are curse words that are unbeeped in today's episode of the show.
If you prefer a beeped version, you can find that at our website, thisamericanlife.org.
From WBEZ Chicago, it's this American Life.
I'm Ira Glass.
Why aren't you more mad?
I think I'm just too tired to be mad.
It's like when I think of it, I get exhausted, I get a little desperate.
I can feel like a little bit like, I feel a little bit like underwater.
This is my co worker, Sean Cole, who's a producer here on the radio show.
And the thing that brought him to this state is a bed.
A bed he does not have.
He ordered it back in September when we moved to a new apartment.
This is where I've been sleeping since I moved in.
On the floor on my old mattress, awaiting my new bed.
Just to be clear, the mattress for the new bed arrived right away after he ordered it.
It's rolled up like a burrito near the window.
The issue is the bed frame and the headboard.
They're still awol, undelivered, absent four months after ordering.
And I'm talking to Sean about this because today's program is about all kinds of different sorts of runarounds and he is in the middle of a sort of classic one, one lots of us have experienced.
