I hope you had a lovely weekend and your week is off to a great start.
As it's the start of the week, Let's take a moment to pause and reset for the week ahead,
remembering that you don't have to do everything on that to-do list today.
Wherever you are right now, take a couple of slower, deeper breaths,
allowing the shoulders to relax, the jaw to soften,
as you gently focus your attention on the breath.
Taking a moment to check in with the body.
Feeling that sense of support from the seat or the surface you're on.
And perhaps setting an intention for the week ahead.
Could be something small like, this week I will give myself time to pause.
Taking one more slower, deeper breath as we get into today's episode.
So earlier this year, I went back to school and certified as a mental health coach.
If you aren't aware, mental health coaching focuses on mental well-being,
helping you to build healthier habits, break barriers and set achievable goals.
It felt like the perfect complement to my existing training as a meditation and mindfulness teacher,
as mindfulness was actually one of the core skills taught in the program.
So it felt really aligned with my training.
And I wanted to challenge myself by learning some new skills.
