3 分钟Hi, and welcome to the Espresso English podcast, where you can improve your English in just a few minutes a day.
My name is Shayna, and I'm the teacher at Espresso English.
Make sure to visit the website, EspressoEnglish.net,
where you can get online courses and e-books that will help you learn English even faster.
Let's get started with today's lesson.
Hi, students!
I'd like to invite you to a master class I'll be teaching next Tuesday, December 17th.
In this special class, we are going to learn and practice 100 phrases from 10 common verbs.
Let me give you an example.
You know the verb run.
The basic meaning is simple, but we also have different expressions, like running on empty,
run it by me, run into headwinds, or give someone a run for their money.
And you cannot translate these phrases word for word.
They won't make sense, and just knowing the basic meaning of run will not help you understand them.
Instead, you need to learn what the whole expression means.
So we're going to take 10 of the most common verbs in English, verbs you already know, like do, make,
have, get, and put, and we'll expand your fluency fast by learning 100 total phrases or expressions using these verbs.
When you join this master class, you will get access to the live session and the recording,
the replay, so you can always watch it later, even if you can't come live.
As well as the e-workbook, which will contain the class notes.
