Before that, though, pretty much as soon as the tenuous ceasefire was announced between the US and Iran two days ago,
one of the key questions was whether this fragile two-week pause would survive Israel's continuing assault on Lebanon
in its war against the Iran-allied Hezbollah militia.
Indeed, as you 'll probably be aware, there were very different views about whether Israel's offensive
was covered by this ceasefire deal.
The Israelis, and it seemed the Americans, were saying not.
The Iranians and the Pakistani facilitators for the scheduled peace talks and many other members
of the international community said yes.
Well, this evening Israel Tyne, despite the Israeli military launching a new wave of attacks inside Lebanon,
the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, grabbed the headlines with a statement posted on social media.
