is what do my intrusive thoughts mean about me?
What does it say about me that I had this thought?
And my answer today might surprise you.
Maybe not, but my guess is it will.
Most of my clients and students, by the time they come to me, have spent hundreds of hours.
Ruminating, trying to figure out what these thoughts mean.
Now in addition to that, I have heard horror stories from my clients who have come from other therapists
who have spent hours and hundreds of dollars in therapy going back and forward,
trying to get to the root cause of their intrusive thoughts
and identify what happened in their childhood that could have possibly made them have these specific intrusive thoughts.
And I'm sorry if that is you.
I am so sorry because there is a very effective,
and very logical understanding of what's going on in your brain and why you have these thoughts.
And we can make sense of them today.
And I'm so glad that you're here to do this with me.
Hello, my name is Kimberly Quinlan.

I am a wife.
