Hey AmeriCasters, it's getting very close to the big US election and before we get going with the podcast properly, I just want to let you know that we're going to be making daily episodes at the moment, taking the AmericasT Pop up podcast studio on the road every single day all the way to election night and maybe even beyond.
If you want to be notified as soon as new episodes drop in our podcast feed, please make sure you're subscribed to AmericaSt on BBC Sounds and have push notifications turned on on in your phone settings.
That way me, Justin, Sarah and Anthony will land direct onto your phone as soon as it's ready.
Just what you've always wanted.
Anyway, here's today's episode.
Enjoy.
BBC Sounds Music Radio Podcasts Hello.
We are coming up to the closing days and hours of this presidential campaign and it means that the two main candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, are dashing about across the United States.
Kamala Harris is in Pennsylvania and Trump is heading to North Carol, Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan today.
They are all over those swing states looking for crucial votes.
It also means social media is flooded with campaign messaging and some unfounded conspiracy theories, disinformation, all sorts of different content from each side trying to make sure that the person they want to win does win.
It also means that americast presenters are dotted all over the United States too.
So as usual, we all dialled in to 5 live so that we could answer your questions about the election.
Everything from polling and what's actually going to happen on election to the kinds of things you can be looking out for on a bit of an election night bingo card.
Welcome to AmericasT.
