The English we speak from bbclearningenglish.com hello.
And welcome to the English we speak.
With me, Rob and me, Fei Fei.
Hello.
In this program,
we're talking about an expression that's appeared in the age of the Internet and it's connected to social media.
So, Fei Fei, do you communicate with other people a lot on social media?
Yes, I do.
I love chatting with my friends and meeting new people.
Some people, I mean, though, they write very negative messages attacking others.
It's nasty.
It is.
And it's something we call cyberbullying.
That's a form of bullying in which people harass and harm other people online deliberately.
And unlike the traditional bully, the electronic bully can remain anonymous, so we don't know who they are.
Cyberbullying includes things like spreading lies and rumors online,
sending or forwarding unpleasant messages via instant messaging, text, or on social networks.
Yes, it's becoming very common among teenagers these days.
