But this year feels different.
Instead of the usual flash sales and discounts, there's a noticeable shift towards something called long termism or Chang qi zhu yi in English.

Yeah, it's kind of this I don't know theory that suggests spending more money in the short term might save you more money in the long term.
If what you're buying in the short term is a higher quality quality product that does not need to be replaced as quickly as perhaps a lower quality product.
