Hello and welcome to Super Great Kids Stories Wise tales from storytellers around the world,
which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.

I'm Kim and I love stories.
Hello, Super Great Kids and how are you?
In Zimbabwe, when people are asked how they are,
they usually reply I'm happy if you're happy, which seems like a pretty nice way to greet someone.
Did you know that this week, if you live in the northern hemisphere,
places like Europe and North America, you'll have the longest day of the year?
In other words, the day with the most daylight.
So a bit like in the story from New Zealand, where Maui slows the sun,
the days will be long and the nights will be short.
And if you live in the southern half of the world, like Australia or New Zealand,
that means you're heading for the shortest day in the year with the longest nights.
And if you live near the equator in the middle the then the hours of daylight are fairly similar all year round.
Now let's hear about our story.
Today is a Just because story.
Just Because.
I think it's a fun one for you to listen to and maybe learn.
It's a marvellous version of the American tale the Gingerbread man told by Jason Buck.
