As a happiness expert, I give a lot of public talks on the science of well-being.
I've kind of lost track of exactly how many I've done, but at this point it must be in the hundreds.
At the end of every lecture,
I usually try to leave at least a few minutes to take questions from the audience.
Hello,
you said you spent a lot of time with the students in the correlation of too much alcohol use and nightlife,
not enough sleep.
So what did you find there?
Yeah, so the question is about those Q&A sessions.
They're my favorite part of speaking.
I can pretty much guarantee that someone will ask a question that'll make me stop and think again about the challenges we all face to become happier.
We've been focusing on the younger generation,
but a lot of surveys indicate that as you get older, you get happier.
And because I love these Q&A sessions so much,
I've always thought it was a shame that listeners to this podcast have to miss out on them.
And so I decided to change that.
I put out a request for any and all Happiness Lab listener questions on my Twitter and Instagram feeds.
And immediately, I had a ton of great ones flooding in.
