  • Discussion keeps the world turning.

  • This is Round Table.

  • Hello, welcome to Roundtable, where we serve up piping hot debates on the issues that sizzle in China and beyond.

  • I am Neo Honglin.

  • With the 16th BRICS summit going on in Kazan, today's episode brings the discussion close to home.

  • We are joined by three young talents from BRICS countries, Russia, South Africa and Brazil, who have all spent time living in China.

  • Together, we'll explore what BRICS cooperation really means for young people, how it helps foster cultural exchange, and what lessons they've learned along the way.

  • If you've ever wondered how collaboration between countries shapes personal growth and mutual understanding, you won't want to miss this conversation.

  • To get things started, allow me to introduce our three guests.

  • We have Alexandra Klimenova, a Russian educator, a BRICS Young Leaders Forum speaker, Vitor Mora, market director at BranchAM, and an international Relations master candidate at Tsinghua University.

  • Sarah Rose Erasmus, a South African master's student in Chinese medicine and acupuncture at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.

  • Welcome.

  • Hi.

  • Hello.

  • So, yes, my name is Alexandra Klimenova and I live in St.

  • Petersburg in Russia, and I'm a young university teacher and lecturer.

  • So I have already been in the business for three years and I'm still trying to cope with all the burdens and the challenges that it involves.

  • My China story, I guess, is the poorest one in this pool, unfortunately.

  • So I got a first prize at the first Belt and Road English speaking competition last year in 2023, and that was my first time going to China.

  • This stay didn't last long, but fortunately I had enough time to explore China, Shanghai and the city of Taishan, that's very close to Shanghai.
