We start in Moldova, where the result of the referendum on a commitment to join the European Union has been on a knife edge.
Shortly before we recorded this podcast, President Maya Sandhu confirmed a majority yes vote of 50.28%.
But polls in the lead up to the vote had indicated that the country would commit to joining the EU with a comfortable margin.
And speaking at a news briefing, President Sandhu said there'd been outside attempts to buy votes and that more needed to be done to combat corruption.
