2 分钟This is Roger Bennett from Men in Blazers,
and I cannot count the times during lockdown I've yearned to hear the distorted majesty of that Succession theme song crackling across my television screen.
Like millions of you, I adore the show with its frenzied takeovers, drone strike put downs,
fleeting glimpses of humanity smothered by greed, aspiration,
desperate cries for attention, and stream of consciousness obscenities.
Just fuck off.
Fuck off, Tom.
Fuck you, Kendall.
The fuck off.
Oh, come on, man.
Fuck off.
The performances, the writing,
the Logan Roy cardigans make this show the like Game of Thrones without the dragons and direwolves.
Both are magical confections of family dynamics, human lust for power, unfathomable trauma,
spinning narratives that are deeply timeless, yet truly zeitgeist in equal measure.
That's why Succession is such a work of wonder and why I'm delighted to be hosting HBO's Succession podcast,
a show designed to give you what I know I crave.
A weekly succession fix.
Long form conversations with the people who make the show such eye popping,
mind searing, must watch fair.
