The White House says China will purchase at least $17 billion in agricultural products annually from the U.S.
NPR's Franco Ordonez reports the deal comes after President Trump's visit to China.
Flying back to the U.S.
From China last week, President Trump told reporters
that farmers would be pleased with the deals he had reached.
The farmers are going to be very happy.
They're going to be buying.
Billions of dollars of soybeans.
The White House says the agricultural agreement,
which goes until 2028, is in addition to commitments to buy U.S.
Soybeans that had already been reached.
In a fact sheet, the White House touted
that Trump, quote, negotiated a sweeping package of commitments
that will drive high-paying American jobs and open new markets for U.S.
Goods.
The White House says China also agreed to purchase 200 American-made airplanes made by Boeing for Chinese airlines.

But China hasn't confirmed any specific purchases.
China says the leaders agree to expand agricultural trade through cuts in tariffs and market access issues.
