First up on the programme today, a court in Syria has sentenced the country's ousted president, Bashar al-Assad,
and his brother, Maher, to death.
They're both living in Russia, beyond the reach of Syrian law.
But an infamous former senior security official and cousin of the president, Atef Najib,
who was present in court, also received a death sentence following a trial that's lasted six months.
Najib was in charge of political security in Syria's Dera province,
