6 分钟Hi, it's Nick from Coffee Break English.
Do you ever feel like your English sounds a little repetitive?
Maybe everything is good, nice or interesting.
The problem is, when we repeat these simple phrases all of the time,
our English can start to sound less expressive and less natural.
But the good news is that you probably know much more English than you actually use.
So in this episode, we're going to look at two simple ways to make your English sound more descriptive,
more natural and more confident by describing both the experience
and your reaction to it without having to learn lots of new complicated words.
So let's get started.
So let's start with the easiest change you can make.
Instead of describing things as good, nice or interesting, start describing the experience itself.
It's easy to describe something as good or bad, but it's much more interesting to say why it was good or bad.
Describe the experience, not the object.
So let's look at a really common situation.
If I say the restaurant was good, what was good about it though?
How was the food, the atmosphere or your experience?
Instead, you could say the food was amazing.
The atmosphere was really relaxed and we had a fantastic meal.
Notice what's happening here.
