  • Thank you for having me.

  • You're very welcome.

  • We'll talk loads about what you've been up to in some of the ups and downs in the last hundred days.

  • But first, I just wanted to give newscasters an insight into what it is actually like being a prime minister because not many people get to do that job.

  • I mean, how do you sort of convey what it's like?

  • It's a real privilege because you get the chance to take decisions that make a big difference to people's lives and that is hugely a privilege.

  • It's what I came into politics to do.

  • For me, it's been much tougher than anything I've done before, but much better.

  • I came into politics relatively late in life, having spent a lot of time as a lawyer, and that was slightly unusual because a lot of people come in earlier than me.

  • I came in because I decided in my own mind that I wanted to go to politics.
