The routines become a big part of your life.
You start organizing your day around routines.
At least I did.
Most of the guys, they either went insane or became catatonic.
They would draw into themselves.
I've seen men reduced to screaming.
I've seen men convert to being babies, curling in fetal positions and just laying there.
I seen men beat their heads against the bars.
I've seen the brutality of security who have no training in the unequipped deal with guys when they have these breakdowns.
Their solution is to lock them in the dungeon, which is just another form of solitary confinement and, you know, submission.
I don't know if I can find the words to even give the listener an idea how horrible it is to be in solitary command.
I 44 years is a long time.
