Most people know it for its wealth from a vast reserve of oil and natural gas.
Others may have had a glimpse of its landscape.
Centering on the world's tallest building so far, the Burj Khalifa.
The United Arab Emirates is a window to the scenery and culture of the Middle East Is also one of the countries that Chinese tourists can go visa free.
Hello, I'm Lai Ming and this is Roundtable.
Today, with my colleagues Li Yi and Xin Yu, we will highlight the things to do and see if one were to visit the UAE during the Spring festival holiday.
To begin with some background information about the small but very important country in the Middle east near the Gulf.
Right.
The United Arab Emirates is the federation of seven states, including the names that we are familiar with, like the Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
And it's one of the Middle East's most important economic centers.
And definitely it's a regional trading and a tourism hub.
The capital of the United Arab Emirates is Abu Dhabi and the UAE covers an area of 83,600 square kilometers.
And the population is 9.8 million.
And the official language is Arabic.
And also, I think the climate of UAE is also really pleasant because it really has a warm and sunny weather most of the year, recording an ideal temperature from October to May.
I mean, the climate in local regions is hot and humid along the coast and it's hotter still, but dry in the interior region.
Li Yi, when you say the climate is pleasant, you mean in wintertime, right?
In wintertime in Northern hemisphere, yes.
