Primary and middle school students across Beijing, Chengdu and various regions in China have been slated to return to school on Monday, February the 8th.
Well, 26th to be precise.
Its reasonable to assume that many students have been under stress as they attempt to complete their winter vacation homework and prepare to resume classes.
The Education Bureau of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in southwest China, has introduced a two week buffer period to ease the transition back into academic life.
During the initial two weeks, students are granted an extension to submit their holiday homework, and teachers are instructed not to deny students attendance based on incomplete assignments, a departure from previous practices in some schools.
