Recently, the Ministry of Education has announced the list of undergraduate majors in 2024.
With 24 new majors starting to enroll students this year.
These fields of study reflect significant societal and technological advancements.
So Yushun, can you tell us more about the latest changes?
Yes, so we can see that the Ministry of Education recently released the catalog of undergraduate majors for the year 2024 on March 19, and among them, 24 new undergraduate majors will be added.
And starting from 2024, universities can enroll students in these majors in the college entrance examination.
So right now there are totally 816 majors in the catalog and the 24 new majors will be launched in 54 universities.
The new majors included some fields that sound very high tech like high power semiconductor science and engineering, intelligent marine equipment, electronic information materials, and there are also various highly specialized fields I would say within these domains such as ecological restoration, ice dancing and coffee science engineering.
So aside from that, related departments and colleges will also be opened.
