Discussion keeps the world turning.
This is round table.
Tis the season when flowers of all types and colors spring up and compete for our attention.
Across the country, chinese people are gearing up for trips both short and long distance to feast our eyes and taste buds with the best views and delicacies that the season can offer.
This year, what makes our travel plans different from the years gone by?
Hello, I'm Li Ming and this is roundtable.
Today, my colleagues Niu Ho Ling and Yu Xun will tell you all about the next travel rush that has already begun and will soon peak during the Qingming festival holiday.
And to begin with this year, there's the talk about flower viewing or Shanghua flower viewing, plus some other activities that many tourist attractions are arranging for us.
Yes, absolutely.
So, you know, admiring these flowers has become, I think, the primary purpose of a lot of people's plans during this holiday season, or the springtime season for sure.
So data from a travel platform shows a significant increase in the search popularity for flower viewing.
Since March, the daily average ticket booking volume for flower viewing scenic spots has increased by nearly 50% compared to the same period last year.
And also the increase in the number of travelers can also be seen.
It is reported that this year's spring tourist transportation in the Yangtze river delta, which is in the southeast of China by railway, lasted for a total of 32 days with an expected total of 78 million passengers.
That's averaging more than 2.4 million passengers per day.
And there is an interesting phenomenon.
I think there are some different trend.
That is, the tourists used to be rushing to these popular destinations, I think.
But this year a lot of people, maybe they're tired of seeing these people, mountain people see, they are trying to recommend or finding some spots that are not very popular or kind of a niche spot.
So the development of the spring economy is now more refined and offering new business opportunities in these kind of niche tourist destinations or some smaller cities.
